19/02754 – 38 Frances Road, Windsor, SL4 3AH – Rear and side dormer to facilitate a loft conversion.  
Concern that changes would alter the roofscape and appearance of the road which is in a conservation area,

19/02682 – 59 Grove Road, Windsor, SL4 1HT – Installation of vehicular entrance date to the side elevation.
Concern expressed that there would be loss of general parking and access could be made through a back all and not affect on road parking.

We were happy with the original paint colour but did not feel the amended colour was suitable.

19/02416 Windsor Dials Arthur Road Windsor SL4 1RS Alterations to the existing roof structures to create an additional office floor, creation of new entrance lobbies and core areas and refurbishment of the elevations and public realm to buildings 1 and 2 Windsor Dials.
Our main concerns are the adverse impact of the size on neighbouring buildings and inadequate parking provision.

19/02497 32 Peascod Street Windsor SL4 1EA Consent to paint shopfront window frames and wooden soffits including new advertisement
We have written to Tesco asking if they would reappraise their façade designs in order to maintain some of the character of Peascod Street quoting their shops in Winchester and Richmond as good examples.

19/02530 The Edinburgh Woollen Mill 10 – 11 Castle Hill Windsor SL4 1PD Repainting of the window frames, exterior of the building and addition of 3no.banners.  
This is a key listed building in a prominent position and we were concerned that some aspects of the proposal were inappropriate

19/02628, 02630, 02631 Harte And Garter Hotel 31 High Street Windsor SL4 1PQ  Consents for single awning and gold lettering.
There were various concerns that the developments for this prominent, listed building seem to lack cohesion.

19/01393/FULL, 19/01364/LBC and 19/01394/ADV Sel Et Sucre 7 Church Street Windsor SL4 1PE  Repainting of existing building and shop front, new signage and addition of a step to main entrance. Replica warrant to be refurbished and relocated on front elevation.

We were very unhappy about the altered position of the plaque which is a recognised feature of this building.

Erection of 37 dwellings etc.
WES Action: – We raised objections on basis of poor standard of amenities for occupants of some flats eg no outside space, rooms with no natural light. and lack of internal space.

19/01900/FULL and 19/01901/LBC  – Sir Christopher Wren Hotel
part 3 storey/part 2 storey rear extension etc following demolition of existing building.
WES Action: – We requested an on site meeting with the architects which enabled us to understand the plans and the vision more clearly.

Trinity Wildlife Garden We sent comments on these plans but were disappointed not to have received notification of this proposal when it was first activated at the beginning of this year.

WES Action: – We are still unhappy about the amount of traffic this would generate and the architecture of the proposed building.

Mixed use development with retail unit at ground floor and 13 x apartments above, with access, car parking, servicing and landscaping following demolition of existing buildings (Part Retrospective)
WES Action: – Our objection was based on the poor standard of amenities in this proposed over development of the site.

Single storey side extension (Retrospective).
WES Action: – We considered this proposal to be discordant within this area where it is also opposite a listed building.

Construction of 5 dwellings with associated parking following demolition of the existing dwellings.
WES Action: – This is a revised application for this site. There are only minor amendments. We wrote again expressing our concern at over development on the plot.

Consent to upgrade the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, internal alterations to the first and second floor bathrooms, internal joinery repairs to floors and decorative mouldings, new slate hearths, replacement of the rear ground floor roof to include 2no. roof lights and the repair of the existing window to the kitchen.
WES Action: – We enquired about the progress of restoration of this building following partial collapse in late 2016.

WES Action: – Signage inappropriate in front of a Grade 2 listed property and in its location.

Construction of third floor to provide an additional 30 guest bedrooms with associated passenger lift.

WES Action: – As we had done in a previous application for this site we requested a ‘green wall’ for the side of the building backing on to Bachelors Acre

19/01025/FULL –  114 – 116 St Leonards Road, Windsor    
Proposed barrel roof with 3no. dormers to provide additional 1no. flat following demolition of plant room.
WES Action: – This was a revised application and we were still unhappy that the additional floor and its unusual design were inappropriate in this setting.

19/01165/FULL – Thames Court 1 Victoria Street Windsor SL4 1HB
Consent to erect non-illuminated hoarding along the Northern and part of the Eastern elevations of the site and for an internally illuminated crane lightbox .
WES Action: – We consider an illuminated light box to be inappropriate in a Conservation Area and detrimental to the character and amenity of the wider area.

18/03584/REM – 151-153 Clarence Road, Windsor  
Reserved matters application (appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) pursuant to outline planning permission 17/02566/OUT (allowed on appeal) for demolition of 151-153 Clarence Road and construction of 3 storey building with accommodation in the roof and associated car parking and landscaping [25 April – Amended design and scale. Floor plans, elevations and site plan have been amended]
WES Action: – These were amended plans and we were unhappy about the additional height

19/00872/FULL  –  Tapas Revolution, 18, Thames Street, SL4 1PL
Painting of shopfront and alterations to existing awning. 
19/00873/LBC  –  Consent to retain the internal alterations for the WC and bar area, painted shopfront and alterations to the awning. 
WES Action: – This is a Grade 2 listed building. Alterations have already been carried out without permission and we requested that the building be reinstated.

19/01068/LBC. –  Enzo’s,  83 – 84, Peascod Street, Windsor SL4 1DH
Consent to install new fascia lettering following removal of existing fascia sign, re-paint shopfront including first floor window frames
WES Action: – We were happy about the new colours and fascia treatment but had concerns about some of the documentation.

19/01059/FULL –  Wagamama, High Street, Windsor
Change of use to provide external seating area and associated display of windbreak advertisements.    and
19/01060/ADV Consent to display non-illuminated windbreak/banner adverts
WES Action: – This is proposed within the entrance to Royal Windsor Station and we expressed concerns for several reasons.

19/00683/LBC  – Avanti 98 Peascod Street Windsor SL4 1DH 
Consent to retain alterations to shop front, further works to re-paint shop front and new signage.
WES Action: – We were very unhappy about several aspects of the alterations to this Grade II listed building which was formerly Wellington Public House. Demolition of parts of the façade without Listed Building Consent caused particular concern.

19/00916/FULL – Windsor Physiotherapy, Essex Lodge, 69 Osborne Road Windsor SL43EQ  
Demolition of existing building and construction of a new building comprising 10 x two bedroom and 2 x one bedroom flats and associated parking alteration to existing access and new bin enclosure.
WES Action: – Concern about loss of this heritage asset on this prominent site and the design and lack of landscaping of the proposed development which are not in character with the area.

Gone to appeal 19/60099 – letter sent to inspector

19/00842/LBC – 35, Park Street, Windsor.
Consent for the partial removal of chimney breast at ground floor level and removal of existing cupboards to accommodate new kitchen units. This is a listed building in an important street in a conservation area. 

WES Action: – We were very concerned about the proposals and the seeming lack of proper process.

19/00991/FULL – 56 – 57 Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, Thames Street, Windsor SL4 1QW
Change of Use from Class A3 to function/conference room to be operated in conjunction with existing hotel facilities.
Our concerns were exactly as mentioned for the March application 19/00210

19/00906/FULL – Ruddles Pool, Maidenhead Road, Windsor SL4 5TW
Part change of use of dwelling (C3) to a place of worship (D1) with new vehicular access and associated car parking.
WES Action: – We did not feel that this site, in the green belt and on the banks of the river, was an appropriate site for the proposed development and we were also concerned about parking issues.
